Concealer is one of those makeup bag essentials that everyone owns. It's often a multipurpose wiz, used on dark circles, blemishes, pigmentation and is even there to correct makeup mistakes and more. There's basically no denying how invaluable concealer is!

But for that very reason, the beauty industry is awash with every kind of concealer imaginable. From sweatproof to photo proof and industrial strength, in all formulas -  we as beauty lovers are spoilt for choice. But as you will likely know, not all concealers live up to expectation - lacking in coverage, blendable, longevity and even shade range.

So today I have one of the lastest concealer launches to share with you that ticks all boxes, being an amazing budget base offering that requires shouting about!

Aside from the hundreds if not thousands of new beauty releases we will see throughout 2019 I thought today I'd share the products that either came out only recently or in 2018 that I've had my eye on. These are the products that I want in my collection and I'm excited to try!

The Jaclyn Hill X Morphe Eyeshadow Palette
Since Morphe landed on Cult Beauty in 2018 it's a brand that's been very much on my radar. I love their smaller palettes and I can't get enough of their Continuous Setting Spray and affordable makeup brushes. I also recently picked up the sell out and not to mention incredibly hard to get hold of James Charles X Morphe Palette for my 12-year-old niece (spoilt, I know!).

While the JC palette is without a doubt too bright for my own makeup tastes I was beyond impressed with the formulas and out of this world pigmentation, so much so that I decided there and then that I needed The Jaclyn Hill Eyeshadow Palette in my life.

The palette does contain a few brights but on the whole is packed full of neutral shades and gorgeous shimmers and from swatches I've seen I have a feeling it's on par with Morphe's collab with James Charles. I'm really looking forward to adding this palette to my collection!

Charlotte Tilbury Goddess Cleansing Ritual
Next up, an early 2019 launch that instantly went on my Cult Beauty wishlist! Being a fan of both Charlotte Tilbury makeup and skincare I'm generally lusting after most items, however, I'm definitely all about the double cleanse life so this cleansing duo needs to be in my bathroom cabinet a-sap.

For me, cleansing is one of the most important steps in my skincare routine, keeping my complexion clear, so a first cleanse with a citrus and coconut oil based melting oil followed by a deep cleansing yet balancing charcoal 2nd cleanse has me swooning. Skincare may be dull for some but I'm truly excited to add this into my routine some time in 2019.

Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palette in Pillow Talk
Another Charlotte Tilbury  product on my wish list, actually I'm crossing my fingers that it will come back in stock, is the stunning Pillow Talk Luxury Eyeshadow Palette. Already loving both the Pillow Talk lipstick and liner along with adoring Luxury Palettes from Charlotte Tilbury this is a total match made in heaven for me.

I have a feeling the blush neutrals with a hint of shimmer will be perfect for pretty daytime eyes and I just know I will get a lot of wear from this palette as I do with the 3 other Luxury Palettes I own. Four shades for £39.00 is expensive but I seriously can't resist this one!

Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation
While I've vowed 2019 will be the year I put an end to unnecessary foundation purchases, this is a foundation I keep seeing in many beauty gurus round-up posts for 2018 for being on the best drugstore foundations. So for £6.00 I think I need to try it out for myself!

I did a haul post of my first ever Wet n Wild spend (you can find it here) when it landed on Beauty Bay last year and I loved nearly everything I picked up, so fingers crossed I love the foundation too!

Pixi Fairy Lights
Another beauty-guru enabled wishlist item here, with Pixi's Liquid Fairy Lights. Before watching Tati's favourite beauty products of 2018 these were on my radar but I haven't seen much about them or even swatches. It turns out they are similar to the Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadows but at the fraction of the cost! They are also currently reduced to only £9 each on Cult Beauty so I have a feeling at least one of the shade will be mine very shortly.

Anyone else a huge fan of super reflective shimmer eyeshadows right now?

Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Highlighter
ABH isn't a brand I've tried much from, it's mainly been liquid lipsticks and brow products. But what I have tried I've loved and feel they are worthy of the price tag. But I've yet to try any kind of highlighter from Anastasia Beverley Hills and when I do I feel it needs to be the bestselling and consistently sold out Amrezy Highlighter.

Not only is this one stunning highlighter to look at and have without my collection but it's also a product that I know a lot of people treasure and even purchase backups of. I without a doubt don't need any more highlighters but when highlighters are as pretty as this I become weak! So if this stunning compact comes back into stock it will have to be mine this year.

Colourpop
Lastly, more of an entire brand to try in 2019 than one specific product. You see I've been reading rave reviews of Colourpop for the last few years and I've still not tried the brand! I can't say I'm keen on buying internationally due to customs fees, however, at the end of last year Colorpop announced they have incorporated these fees into their shipping costs so UK customers now don't have to fear being hit with an unexpected bill on delivery. This changes things for me so I think I will be keeping an eye on the Colourpop's Instagram account and placing an order when there a sale or discount on, trying out some of their much talked about eyeshadows and lip products.

Do you have any products you want to get your hands on this year? Let me know in the comments!

Essence_Wilkinsons

Last week I wrote a post on Essence hitting Wilkinson stores and finally coming to the UK! Since then I've received a lovely package from the PR team over at Essence which I thought I'd show you. Plus a lot of product recommendations from my international readers (thank you so much!) that I thought I'd share with you as well.

There are currently 6 Wilkinson stores selling Essence in the UK - Portsmouth, Castleford, Sunderland, Mansfield, Wood Green Shopping City, South End on Sea. With more to be added soon I'm sure.

Essence_mascaras_UK

To start I thought I'd show you 3 Essence mascaras which make up a part of a range of around 15 mascaras. I'm pretty sure these are all priced the same at around £2.80 each. So very affordable for a mascara. I haven't tried these out yet but I love the look of Lash Mania Reload and Lashes Go Wild Volume mascara.... my kind of wands. I will make sure I update you on these by the end of the month (my international readers did say they can be hit and miss!) as I have a budget mascara post planned for then.

Also for eyes... there is a lovely range of Kajal pencils that come in 9 shades and a new smokey jumbo pencil in black. Also new to Essence is a range of Crystal Eyeliners which come in 5 sparkling shades.

Essense_Metal_Glam_UK

On to eyeshadows... meet Metal Glam Eyeshadows. These are just two of them but the range is pretty wide... however sadly from swatching these I don't think that much of them. Not that pigmented and the texture is a little to oily/smooth so they don't apply evenly. A lot of readers did suggest eyeshadows can be hit and miss! I much prefer the Mono eyeshadows which come in 20 shades and I love the Quattro Eyeshadows (see below) which are so handy for travelling with and come in some lovely shades.  My palette below has had a lot of use!

Also a few of my readers that have Essence in their country recommended the Pigments (also great for nail art) and powder Blushers

Essence_UK_makeup

I personally feel Essence provide some great lip products and in my past post a lot of people recommended the 'Stay With Me' Lipglosses and the Longlasting Lipsticks (see above).

My personal favourites are the XXL Shine Lipglosses as the wand is really nice and the texture is spot on, these  come in 14 shades. But if you are a lip gloss fan you may also want to check out the new Glossy Lipbalms (above) that come in such edible sounding flavours - Strawberry Cheesecake, Cherry Brownie, Apple Pie, Berry Cupcake, Mango Ice-Cream and Mint Drop. Another new product for Essence is their Glow Tinted Lip Balms (above).

Another recommendation that kept popping up time and time again in the comments of my last post was nail polishes (all under £2) which I have to agree with - especially glittery top coats! Also in time for Halloween they have a new Glow in the Night Top Coat!

Essense_Makeup_Wilkinson_UK

Like most budget brands products can be hit and miss but hopefully if you do have an Essence stand near you I have given you a few suggestions on what to look out for and what to avoid. But if you want further suggestions then my last post on Essence (here) has so many comments from people that have been buying from Essence for years.

I will be making sure to update this page every time a Wilkinson store starting stocking Essence and will make sure to tweet about it as well.

Essence_Makeup_UK_Wilkinson

Exciting news today! Essence cosmetics have finally launched in the UK.
From this month Essence makeup will be available in several Wilkinson stores priced at only 99p - £3.99!

If you aren't aware of Essence let me tell you a bit about the brand as I'm already a fan from makeup swaps and purchases of their products on holidays in Spain. I even mentioned my love for the brand last year in a post called 'Makeup I Want But Can't Have' here.

Essence is already in 60 countries worldwide and the #1 seller in 11 of them! So we are pretty much the last place to get the brand! However fingers crossed stands will be popping up in lots of Wilkinsons stores very soon as the limited edition launches are so fun and cheap.

Here are a few past collections to give an idea of  the type of products that will be in store for us...

Essence_Collections

For now Essence have launched in 4 Wilkinson stores - Mansfield, Sunderland, Castleford and Portmouth with their key products and their new 'Vintage District' limited edition collection that looks oh so pretty (shown in first image). But hopefully more stores will be stocking the brand over the next few months. You can keep up to date with new stands on the Essence UK facebook page here. Also fingers crossed it will make Essence easier to buy online!

With Physicians Formula and now Essence launching in the UK we are being spoilt at the moment!

If you already have Essence where you live I'd love to hear what your thoughts of the brand are and any recommendations.

New_Beauty_Products_September_2013

A change of season always brings new product launches so I thought I would sit down and share with you all the new products launches and collections to my knowledge!

Nail art still seems to be very present on the high street and even though I'm not a fan of nail wraps there are a few I may need to try out as they look amazing. As for makeup there are two new additions to the Revlon Lip Butter range and lots of exciting new products from Barry M!

Revlon_Marchesa_Nail_Appliques

Revlon Marchesa 3D Jewel Appliques
New Revlon Lip Butter Shades

Revlon have teamed up with high fashion brand Marchesa to release six (8 in the U.S) amazing limited edition 3D nail appliques. The wraps consist of - Jewelled Noir (black wrap with multi coloured crystals to tips), Crown Jewels (Gold tipped applique that can be placed over any nail colour), Royal Burgundy (a deep red base with gold gilding), Gilded Mosaic (heavily jewelled appliques in silver and gold - these look amazing), Evening Garnet (a pink, red and blue jewelled mosaic on a pink base) and last but not least Silk Rosette (blue design seen above). These are all inspired by Marchesa's high end gowns and are very detailed. I have my eyes firmly on Gilded Mosaic and Silk Rosette.

Each set will cost £8.99 though I know Boots will be doing an introduction offer of 2 for £10. These are currently launching in Boots stores nationwide right now and will be available from Superdrug.

Also two new Lip Butter shades are currently comes to Revlon stands in two very interesting shades - Invite Only (mint green shade, seen above) and Provactive (purple shade) however these actually apply to the lips with a micro shimmer of the shades and give a glossy finish... no Halloween lips here! These will cost the usual price of £7.99.

Vaseline_Paint_The_Town_Tint

Naked Brunette Radiance Shampoo and Conditioner
Vaseline Limited Edition Lip Therapy
Paint The Town

Naked are releasing two new products to their colour treated hair range with Brunette Radiance Shampoo in Elderberry & Sage 250ml for £4.19 and Brunette Radiance Conditioner 250ml for £4.19. These will be on the 3 for 2 offer and available in-store at Boots and online in the next week or so (mid September).

Vaseline will also be bringing out their 3rd limited edition Lip Therapy tin with Paint The Town which is a red tinted balm with a spiced berry scent. This will be available from Selfridges from 5th September for £3.49 and all major stores (Boots, Superdrug etc) from mid-September.

Ted_Baker_Nail_Wraps

Ted Baker A/W Purse Spray
Ted Baker Nail Wraps & False Nails

A 4th edition to Ted Baker's Pure Spray range with 'Ella' will be launching next week. This will be priced at £15 and will be available from Ted Baker and Boots stores. The scent combines top notes of bergamot and cassis with rose, orange blossom and jasmine.... so I'm imagining quite a warm berry scent which will be suitable for winter.

Ted baker are also launching an exciting range of Nail Wraps and Artificials Nails from October in Boots stores nationwide and Boots online. The Ted Baker Nail Polish Strips will cost £7.50 per set and come in 4 different designs, all of which have been inspired by Ted's A/W 2013 collection. Ted Baker's Artificial Nail sets will also come in 4 different designs and cost £8.00 each. Two designs I really love that feature in both ranges are Treasured Orchid (example print here) and Bejewelled Wing (example print here).

Barry_M_Autumn_2013_New

Barry M Classic Matte Nail Paints
Barry M The Royal Glitter Collection

Barry M has many new product launches coming up but I thought I would mention the nail polish collections that have really caught my eye. First up we have the Classic Matte Nail Paints which will cost £3.99 each and will launch in Superdrug stores from 25th September and Boots stores 2nd October. The range will consist of 5 matte neutral polishes, that of course can be made glossy with a clear top coat (which is what I shall be doing seeing as I'm not a massive matte nails fan). The shades include - Crush, Caramel, Espresso, Mocha and Vanilla.

However the most exciting launch of all is the Royal Glitter Collection, £3.99 each, which consists of 5 textured glitter nail polishes in - Duchess, Princess, Majesty, Countess and Lady. Fingers crossed the finish of these will be nice and not too grainy, as there are some perfect autumnal shades here!

House_of_Holland_False_Nails

House of Holland Artificial Nails by Elegant Touch

More exciting new false nail releases with this new House of Holland collection that will consist of nine different sets of false glue-on nails. From elegant pointed tips to some pretty out there designs, this is a pretty unique collection that I am sure will be a hit. The collection launches this month in Boots and Superdrug stores priced at £8-9 per set of 24 nails.

What new collections have caught your eye?

Elle_Beauty_Box_Selfridges

A sneak peak of an exciting new beauty box from Elle magazine at Selfridges today! Release dates haven't been confirmed for this yet but the contents are pretty amazing.

The £30 box includes an amazing £125 worth of products and will include...

Ciaté Cupcake Queen Nail Polish, 13.5ml
Ellis Faas Mascara
Eve Lom Kiss Mix, 7ml
Topshop Lipstick in Charmed
Sachajuan Leave-In Conditioner, 250ml
Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist, 100ml
Perricone MD Neuropeptide Firming Moisturiser, 7.5ml

I'm actually excited about all the products included in the box even the Perricone MD Firming Moisturiser as even though it is a sample jar it will be interesting to see how a £225 moisturiser performs! All the other products are full size - Ciate Nail Polish (£9), Ellis Mascara (£20), Eve Lom Kiss Mix (£16), Topshop Lipstick (£8), Sachajuan Conditioner (£21), Jurlique Mist (£21). So are you can see a pretty amazing box for a only £30?!

I have a sneaky feeling the Elle Beauty Box will be launching in October so make sure to sign up to the form on the Selfridges website to be the first to know about the launch date!

I'm sure this will be another Selfridges exclusive beauty box that will sell out in a matter of hours!

Glossybox 2nd Birthday Event in Covent Garden
Glossybox are celebrating their 2nd birthday this month and will be holding a special event with a giant Glossy Box on Wednesday 8th of May in Covent Garden. At certain time throughout the day the giant glossy box will be opening and free Glossy Boxes will be given out to the public for 10 minutes before the giant box is closed again! The scheduled opening times are 12:30, 13:45, 14:30, 16:30, 17:30, 18:45. Also I hear this month's birthday box is going to be a very great one!

Walls Ices Lip Smackers in Primark
I can't describe my excitement with the upcoming collaboration with Walls Ice Cream and Lip Smackers. I love Lip Smackers anyways but these are just too good to be true. There will be 4 icecream flavours - Feast, Mini Milk Vanilla, Twister and Strawberry Split and will be priced at £2.50 each, launching in Primark stores from late June. I will be getting my paws on a Mini Milk and Feast!

Free Delivery at Superdrug online
until 7th May  - here
This one is pretty self explanatory. But I thought it was worth a mention if you don't have any of the newer MUA products in your local Superdrug (I know my local stand is pretty rubbish) such as the new nail polishes or products from the MUA Pro range.

Benefit_The_Rich_Is_Back_Makeup_Kit

New Limited Edition Benefit Makeup Kit
Benefit have teamed up with fashion designer Matthew Williamson to create a new and exciting makeup kit - The Rich Is Back. The kit includes eye shadows in Solid Gold, Get Down Brown, Disco Dust and Feel So Teal, deluxe mini They're Real mascara, Gimme Fever cheek powder with mini brush and lip gloss in Inferno. The kit will be launching at Debenhams on 15th June for £26.50.

Tesco_Direct_Beauty

Now I don't know about you but it is music to my ears (well eyes?) when I read the words 'free delivery' as I hate the Royal Mail for many reasons and I also hate paying delivery in general! However what is even more beautiful than free p&p for me is Collect in store.... ahhh no more stupid 'You were out' cards.

Which is why I'm so so happy that Tesco Direct are now selling all different types of beauty products and offering the free pick-up in store situation thingy - next day I may add!

Now the only let down is that they aren't stocking Vivo online which is definitely a crying shame... but fingers crossed for in the future, as my nearest store hasn't got a stand (like a lot of people). However Tesco Direct are now stocking Natio, some Rose & Co products, the brand new to the UK Diego Dalla Palma, Barbara Daly and lots more! Also they have quite a few affordable Christmas gifts that I'm sure they won't have in smaller Tescos.

So here are a few beauty highlights that I spotted when browsing the new beauty section...

Tesco_Direct_Barbara_Daly_set

Now I just know these two sets won't be in my local Tesco so whilst these are on 3 for 2 I think I may pick up three and keep one for myself as normally a lip gloss from Barbara Daly is around £4.00 anyway! The left set is in Razzle Dazzle (here) and the right set is in Peach Pzazz (here). I think this is a really cheap but nice gift for Tesco!

yjyjytu

Another range my local Tesco don't sell and the only place I have seen them is in the Tesco Beauty Hall in Bolton or in Asda. So far I have tried two nail polishes from the new Maybelline MNY range and really like them... I really should do a Nail of the Day sometime soon. The shades from top left are:- Shimmery Purple (here), Gold Shimmer (here), Mermaid Blue (here) and Copper (here).

thtjty5j

As for actual beauty gifts these are my firm favourites - Natio Ageless Traveller Set (here) for just £4.50 this is fab! The two minis that excite me the most are the illuminating primer and the brightening eye cream so will definitely be ordering this in the next few days so that I can go and pick it up at the weekend!

I'm also totally in love with Rose & Co products as the moment so my eyes lit up when I saw this - the Rose & Co Candlelit Bath Giftset (here) which includes three lovely bath fancies, a face cloth, a lovely pocket mirror and a tinned Green Tea candle... so lovely! Also all the packaging/presentation of the Rose & Co products is just so pretty and perfect for Christmas presents (mental note: NEED to write a post on all my Rose & Co products).

Next up is a Naked Dream of Coco De Mar Giftset (here) which isn't all that special but if you have a friend/relative like me who doesn't use anything that isn't natural or organic in the bath then this would make a fab present. I know I would much rather this at Christmas than all the crappy shower gels that contain SLS that I can't use!

Also even though it isn't a gift, I had to include the Barbara Daly Eyeliner Polish as it's just so great (read my review of it here in my Top 3 Eyeliner post) and now it's also in Mellow Brown (here) as well as Dramatic Black (here).

yjyjy5j5yj

Last but not least I noticed Tesco's own Skin Wisdom range which I haven't taken much notice of before but seeing as the whole range is half price at the moment I think it may be the time to give it a swirl. I mean you really can't beat a Tinted Moisturiser in medium for £3.00 (here) or even an interesting Beauty Balm (which I'm not entirely sure what it's for) for £3.00 (here). Also I'm quite interested to try the Ultimate Lift Face & Decolletage Serum (here) seeing as it's so cheap and I'm always aware that the chest and neck do age the quickest because the skin is so thin and elasticated.

I know this has been a total ramble but I wanted to just give you an idea of what products are on Tesco Direct now and I just love how you can still receive club card points (and spend them!) and there is always 3 for 2's going on etc!

Plus there are quite a few nice but cheap gifts as well!

PS. Well done Tesco... but we NEED Vivo online as well now!

mix

As a beauty blogger I get excited over a lot of things, but I have literally been dying to write this post as at the start of the week I had the most amazing time visiting one of the brand new Tesco Beauty Halls. I didn't get an special privileges, I just turned up, took some pics and spent over an hour looking/drooling at all the amazing new products.

So far Tesco have opened 3 in-store beauty halls in Dudley, Horwich (Bolton) and Newport. The one I went to was the Horwich store which lucky for me is only 20 minutes away! Each beauty hall apparently stocks 24 higher end brands (all with their own concessions/stands) and many of them are hard to get hold of or will only be stocked in Tesco.

SAM_0004

Here are the brands I remember spotting - Natio, St Tropiz, Olivella, Rose & Co, The Vintage Cosmetics Company, Jason, Evolve, Steam Cream, All for Eve, Mor, Diego Dalla Palma, Klorane, Le Couvent Des Minimes, Tommy Guns, Tisserand, Crabtree & Evelyn and Fake Bake.
Lower end brands - Barbara Daly, Olay, Max Factor, Barry M, Vivo, Rimmel, Une, F&F Make up (new) and Maybelline.

Make Up Consultants
Much like a department store the brands are either in concessions or stands, I think there were around 6 or 7 large concessions which are staffed by consultants. Now I'm in two minds about this idea because it does seem a bit daunting. I mean when you are shopping in the supermarket you definitely don't want to be sold anything or pounced upon and I sadly was - 5 times. Now this could just be because it's brand new this week or it could be to do with their training, but I must say they were all friendly enough. But it just something I didn't expect to see in Tesco.

I got quite a few 'can I help you there?' and 'if you need any help I'm just over here' from the staff but then one member of staff approached me whilst I was looking at the Vivo stand and her opening question was 'so have you heard of Vivo before?' which did seem a little sales person-ish. I of course said that I had already tried a few of their products and then she seems a bit stuck for what else to say, so left me to it.

gte4g43r

...I then got nabbed by the Olay woman as I was walking past the counter and she asked me if I wanted to try out the new cream... so I yes, had quite a nice chat to her and she actually gave me two samples, which is definitely how I feel the staff should be - i.e 'I going to try and sell you something, but be friendly about it and also I will give you a few samples'.

New Layout
As for the whole layout - I totally loved it. The floor space, if you can imagine, is over 3 aisles with two lengths of shelving on each side and then all the concessions and stands are down the center (I feel like I need to draw you a little floor plan - but I won't!). One thing I was very happy to see was lots of mirrors at each stand with jazzy lighting around them. Though the only let down was the lack of tissues... but it was all very clean and even the testers of products looked like they were being kept clean. So a definite thumbs up!

Other new things!
One thing I spotted that made me go 'oooo' but also made me forget to take a picture in my excitement was the table/area for OPI manicures. I don't know why, but this seems such an American/Walmart thing... getting your nails 'did' whilst grocery shopping - crazy! But sadly there wasn't a woman at the table to talk to and no prices! But I did just stand and salivate over all the lined up OPI polishes.

Another totally new thing was the Beauty Salon at the back of the store (just off the beauty hall) but I must admit it did remind me of the see through dog grooming room at Pet World, as it's totally glass so you can watch people have their hair done.. which people were stood doing. I'm not sure if I would like that to be honest. However it was only £10 for a shampoo, cut and finish which is cheap!

Concessions & Beauty stands

brgftr

Mor
This was something else I ooo'd at when I spotted it as it's just such a luxury brand and also one that I had only ever seen online. So it was great to see it in the flesh and I'm sure this will be liked by many this Christmas!

Diego Dalla Palma
I was so excited to see this brand come to the UK at my lovely Italian friend sent me some of their products last year and I loved them. The counter looks really high end and everything I swatched was perfect. Though this is definitely high end with nothing lower than £13 really. But really great if you do like high end/high quality cosmetics but don't have the time to shop in places like Debenhams and Selfridges.

Barry M
I was so pleased to see this stand! I know it is already in Boots & Superdrug but I do more food shopping than beauty shopping (hmmm, okay maybe not) so this will be really handy for me.

rose_and_co

Rose & Co
Out of all the stands this was my favourite, as again I have only seen this brand online and everything is just so pretty and lovely smelling! I picked up the Sugared Violet Hand Cream (£5 online - here) because I have been wanting it for awhile and after smelling it I just HAD to buy it. I also picked up an interesting sachet called Milk Bath (£3) which is for either the bath or for in a foot bath, but it actually does more than one bath so I thought it was definitely worth it. I also sniffed the Sweet Vanilla Lip Salve and nearly died from the amazing smell. I didn't get it... but I'm now planning another trip to Tesco to buy it!

Steam Cream
This was another lovely stand to see as I have never actually seen a Steam Cream tin before and all the designs are so interesting. Plus they had a tester in a nice sealed, squirty bottle so no having to dip your fingers into a nasty tester - good thinking Tesco!

F&F Made Up
(I think this is what it was called as this is what the signs said)
This is a totally new range for Tesco, which is a spin off from their F&F clothing line. I did have a quick look but I wasn't all that taken with it. The products are pretty averagely priced (think £5 for lip glosses etc) and the packaging is fairly simple and black. Personally I feel the Barbara Daly line is Tesco's makeup range and so they didn't really need another at such a similar price range.

hghf

The Vintage Cosmetics Company
Now I couldn't decide if this was a new brand or one I had just never heard of before. Has anyone seen this range before? My first impressions of the stand were really good. I love the whole vintage vibe and how each style of false lashes is called a vintage-esqe name, such as - Kitty, Gracie or Connie! All the lashes cost £6 each and the eyelash curlers £7. Another product that I can see flying off the shelves at Christmas!

Natio
This is a range I have seen before in Debenhams so I wasn't too excited about it. However I did spot some rather lovely travel kits which came in a huge cosmetics bag for £18 I think. Now I normally hate the makeup bags that come with products but this was waterproof and had stamps and pretty things all over it. I should of taken a picture really to show you the prettiness, but oh well! I think I may have to show this to the husband- to be near to Christmas.

Vivo
I have a Vivo stand in my local Tesco but this was a super duper one, and so I did picked up two lipsticks and a few other things for an upcoming giveaway. Really impressed with this range so far - especially the £1.99 lipsticks, £3.00 lashes and the £1.50 eyeshadows!

Hopefully I haven't left you all feeling glum that you don't have a Tesco Beauty Hall near you! But if I have... then you will be pleased to know that Tesco are actually going to have a dedicated website for makeup that is launching the end of this month... in just a few days time!

I'm really hoping there will be a wide selection of brands and fingers crossed there will be a collect free from store option!

Oh my, oh my how a non-retouched ad was needed in the photo shopped world we currently live in!

It really seems like Make Up For Ever has actually listened and produced the first untouched ad - these women have cheekbones, pores and dare I even say, a bit of shine on there foreheads and fuzz on there arms!

Make Up For Ever have launched 4 different adverts of four women all taking self-portraits of themselves on there phones to advertise the MUFE HD line of products.

Now I haven't tried any of the products from the HD range myself but I know that they are definitely raved about in the beauty world. So maybe after seeing the adverts in person I will be swayed to try the HD foundation. Well it's not like they are hiding anything in there adverts now is it!

The MUFE HD no retouch micro website should be up and running next week - which will include exclusive videos untouched and in HD plus a great magnifying tool to zoom into the skin!

Either way this is just truly refreshing to see and hopefully something we will see more and more brands doing in the future!

I have to admit No7 is one of my favourite high street brands even though I do personally think it's a tad overpriced when it comes to most of it's products.

But I do love so many of there products - mainly there Stay Perfect Eye Mousse, Quick Cover Blemish Stick, Exceptional Definition mascara, Hot Cloth Cleanser and Amazing Eyes Pencil. All great quality products.
Something I also love is there constant limited edition collections - I may only buy one or two products from each collection but I'm just as excited to see what they come up with each season.

So here what's coming up this month and also a preview of there upcoming 70's inspired Summer collection.

No7 & The Lipstick Queen - Poppy King
23rd March

Now if you are a Lipstick Queen or Poppy King fan I'm sure you will be finding this new collection all very exciting. I mean Poppy King (a true lipstick expert!) has never collaborated with any other brand before now!
The collection will consist of 7 lipsticks (£12) and lip glosses (£11) all in matching shades -

Glamour, Confidence, Allure, Intrigue, Power, History and Seduction.

The shades do look pretty nice - but I do have my concerns on the pricing of the lipsticks. No7's lipsticks normally retail for £10 and I think that is the top price they could ever charge. But pricing the Poppy King N07 lipsticks at only £1.50 cheaper than MAC lipsticks is verging on the ridiculous.

*Makeup Savvy did notice there is a 5 day window with the free No7 £5 voucher and the collection... so it may just be worth keeping a voucher or two to one side until the collection comes out on the 23rd if you have your eye on something.*

As for the packaging it does have a rather vintage feel to it and was actually inspired by Marilyn Monroe's iconic beauty spot and Man Ray's lip motifs! Definitely quite chic for No7 I must say.

As you know I do like a bargain... especially when it's free and includes Barry M products!

The offer is pretty straight forward - Just pick up tomorrow's (Sat 12th Feb) Buzz Magazine which you get free with The Sun Newspaper and then simply cut out the Barry M coupon inside and pop along to any Superdrug store before Friday 18th Feb to pick up your free Barry M set!

It is that simple.

As for the set itself I am actually quite impressed. The black Kohl Liner is definitely up to Barry M's good standard. Nice and smudgy without being too soft like the Urban Decay 24/7 liners (which is a bit of a Marmite product)!
My least favourite out of the three products has to be the Glossy Tubes lip gloss just way too perfumed (actually had to wipe it off) and not to sure of the shade, however it has a lovely non-tacky feel to it that's rather silky.

As for the nail polish...

Just beautiful!
Really such a nice shade that most people won't own already. I know I don't own anything remotely  similar! Applies just like any other Barry M nail paint would and has a nice shine to it.

I know alot of the freebie offers can be
a bit cheap and naff...but this really is worth picking up.

With every two (500ml, £1.19 each) bottles of  Coke from 16th February you will receive TWO Limited Edition MUA Nail Polishes (worth £2)!

There will be three twin packs to collect -which will all be the bestselling shades in the MUA range.

The offer ends 16th March and will be in ALL Superdrug Stores.

With the best thing about the offer being you can buy any type of coke and not just Diet Coke!

Lots of new products from Superdrug this Spring/Summer that I thought I'd share!
I don't have many details but most should be out this month or next....so not long to wait.

Gosh Limited Edition Spring Collection

Launching mid February this is a Limited Edition of nude shades
just in time for Spring!
Miss Mole (see swatch here) and Miss Sweety (see swatch here) from there current collection (£5.00) get a floral makeover (can't see the point really, but never mind). Plus two Velvet Touch Lipstick in Cappuccino and Nougat (£6.49). I'm not sure if there will be other products in the Spring collection - I do hope so though!

Gosh Long Lasting Lip Markers

These new pens come in four shades - Red, Chocolate, Pink and Berry and will be priced at £6.99b each. I'm not sure if that is abit too steep, but if they are pigmented and actually long lasting then I may be swayed!

New Barry M Lip Paint Shades

Now it wasn't too clear if these are new shades, but I certainly haven't heard of them!
The glitter lipstick on the left is Shade 107 in Bright Glitter Purple and the shade of the right is Shade 82 in Flouro Pink (£4.25)

New Products from Sleek

As for Sleek, there will be a new White Ink Pot...plus (now I'm not to sure of this) a product called All that Glitters Eye Dust, which were Limited Edition Christmas 2009 products if I'm right in thinking.
So I guess we will have to watch this space!

Also quite a nice Nail Polish/Diet Coke offer coming up this month...which I will tell you all about on Wednesday!

Not as good as Nails Inc but you can atleast buy Coke & Coke Zero with this offer!
